Dear Cary Library Community,

Thank you again for your patience over the past few weeks. Beginning Saturday, July 27 the library will be open regular hours:

  • Monday through Thursday - 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM
  • Friday and Saturday - 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Sundays - closed (Sunday hours resume on September 8)

The Children’s and Teen collections have been moved to their new locations on the Main Level where they will remain for the duration of the project. Moving such large collections upstairs has resulted in less seating space - which is not ideal for families looking to stay and read for longer stretches of time. 

If you are looking for alternative spaces to play and relax with children, there are many wonderful libraries in nearby communities as well. Your Cary Library card is welcome at any Minuteman Network library!

We expect construction to begin mid-August. We will send further information as we get closer to that date.
