The Library of Things is a collection of non-traditional library items that complement Cary Library’s mission to ignite curiosity, facilitate lifelong learning, and connect our community. The purpose of the Library of Things is to provide diverse opportunities for learning and engagement.

Patrons who borrow a Thing agree to abide by Cary Library’s Library of Things lending guidelines below. Patrons of any Minuteman Library can request a Library of Things item, but items must be picked up and returned in Lexington. Things circulate for 2 weeks ($1.00/day overdue).

Further information about this collection can be found in Library of Things Collection Development & Circulation Policy and Guidelines for Borrowing and Use [PDF]

Find kits, games, and puzzles for children and families in our Children's Learning Kits. These Kits must be checked out and returned in the Library's Children's Room.
