Description 
Thomas Cosgrove. "Born in Ireland, came to Lexington in 1854. A fine Irishman of the old type. Enlisted in Civil War. Captured 7 rebels at one time unaided. Received the Medal of Honor from Congress. Spent most of his time under a roving commission, pretty much as a spy. Was one of the first two Union soldiers to enter Richmond. Carried on a small farm on Maple Street."
