The greatest gift is a passion for reading. It is cheap, it consoles, it distracts, it excites, it gives you knowledge of the world and experience of a wide kind. It is a moral illumination.
Elizabeth Hardwick

Elizabeth Hardwick's words on the importance of reading are perhaps especially relevant to the reading of poetry. Over the past year, Helen and Don Cohen have provided a series of thoughtful and compelling programs featuring a selection of some of the world's great poems.

In the four previous sessions, Helen and Don have discussed poems of celebration, love, suffering and death. On Thursday evening, February 25, Helen and Don will conclude their series with a discussion featuring poems of re-birth. The program will begin at 7:30 and will be held at the Library in the Technology Learning Center.

Because space is limited, registration for this class is required. Please call 781-862-6288 ext 250 to register. Registration begins Monday, February 1.

The Library wishes to express its deep appreciation to the Cohens for providing this wonderful series of programs to members of our community. Those who have attended the programs know what an extrordinary experience it has been!
