"Patriot’s Day has long been a special part of the Lexington community. When the kids were young, I brought them. When they wanted to sleep in, I brought the camera. These images capture the participation of the community in this unique event. From re-enactors dedicated to authenticity, the spirit of the Fife & Drum Corps, or bleary-eyed spectators getting coffee from a Patriots’ Day vendor before the ceremonies begin, this April event never ages and reminds us of the original price of freedom and the strength of the Lexington community since the early days of the Republic."
