Mary Nessel seeks to tell a story in a picture, and since information may not always be visible to the naked eye, "… the viewer will see yet another." Using the original shots as raw material, as a blank canvas, she then uses the "digital darkroom" to "discover hidden hues and dimensions in a picture sometimes using only a small section of each to make a final piece."
