Cathy’s painting reflects the sense of community in Lexington on several levels. It was begun during the "Linger in Lexington" en plein air bike path event, in which artists set up their implements to create, attracting the attention of many visitors behind Lexington Center. The Lexington Depot, featured in this painting, meanwhile, serves as both the headquarters of the Lexington Historical Society and as a function space. Finally, the Lexington community funded and created the town’s portion of the Minuteman Bikeway Rail Trail.
